The Wallis Knights of Columbus – Council #3793
Father Nemec’ Council
Parish: Guardian Angels Catholic Church, Wallis, Texas
Founded on the principles of charity, unity and fraternity, the Knights of Columbus was established in 1882 by Father Michael J. McGivney, assistant pastor of St. Mary’s Church in New Haven, Conn., and a group of parishioners. Their intent? To bring financial aid and assistance to the sick, disabled and needy members and their families.
The Wallis Knights of Columbus seeks to support the local parish of Guardian Angels Church at the requests of the priest, and the community, with special assistance to the Brother Knights and their widows after they pass. Our primary principles are Faith, Charity, Unity, and Fraternity!
Our Faith encourages us to support the church and its work, to stand up for and back the principles that make us Catholic men.
As Knights, we are part of a multi-billion dollar charitable legacy that provides winter coats to children in need, food to families in need, wheelchairs for the disabled and handicapped, support to victims of natural and global disasters. Locally we provide scholarships and support to local organizations including the Scouts, Fire Department, Meals on Wheels, the local library and facilitate their meetings by providing facilities and monetary support. Regionally we give time and money to support seminarians and Pro-Life activities.
Knights band together as a Brotherhood to stand up for the unborn and dignity for all people. We defend marriage and the family.
